3/20/19 Trail report: All main trails have been groomed since Sunday night. You'll still find moguls here and there. Even with the drag all the way down it was impossible to cut some of these deeply frozen mounds of snow. We're not sure how much longer we will be grooming. We still have a little bit of fuel but it will depend on temperatures and volunteers. The volunteers are definitely tired though. We've done well over 1,000 hours of work this season. A huge thank you goes to those volunteers. We would also like to thank the landowners, members, and people who have donated.
3/7/19 We took just the groomer up 117N to plow out some of the drifts. This should help our next grooming run. The rest of the trail system had a one way pass earlier in the week. We are working towards getting the trails groomed up for the weekend
117 North to ITS 84 groomed Friday Morning, 117 South to Mexico groomed Friday night, another 8 to 12 inches of snow today
117 north to ITS 84 groomed on Tuesday, 117 South to Mexico will be groomed today as well as 16 to Andover and Frye and Rumford, more snow on the way, should be excellant riding this weekend.
We received about 12 inches this week. We are currently out with our rolling packing the trails. We will be doing a bridge repair soon on the trail from 16 to ITS 82 in Andover. Please let us know if you're able to help
Groomed 117 from Byron to ITS 84, also 16 west to Ellis Pond and over to Frye, Trails held up well over the weekend
Trail update: With this week's warm temps it's been difficult to get the groomer out. Last night we groomed Connector 16, Ellis pond to ITS 82 in Andover, Twin mountain trail, 117S from Byron to Mexico, and the trail from 117 at the Mexico intersection to Frye. 117N from Bryon to ITS 84 was groomed early monday before the warm up. The temps are not looking too good to get this trail groomed again before the weekend. If the temps are in our favor and we have the volunteers to get it groomed we will get it done. Reminder: Our next club meeting is next Wednesday, February 13th at 7:00pm at the Roxbury Town Office
All main trails were groomed before Wednesday's storm. We are currently working on packing the new snow. Yes 117N Byron to ITS 84 is open. Please ride RIGHT! I've seen way to many people riding center/left this year. Our trail system is not a race track where you can take the inside corner everywhere. Thank you!
Groomed 117 south to Frye on 1/2/2019, 117 north on 1/3/2019, groomed to Roxbury Pond and then to frye 1/4/2019, trails are in pretty good shape.
Yesterday we walked the groomer over to ITS 82 via connector 16 then we went and did the Twins trail to Frye. We were able to use the blade to fill in some water bars. There’s still areas to use caution. The next time out we will be pulling the drag
Yesterday we walked our Tucker up ITS 117 from Byron to the intersection of ITS 84. We also had a crew of 4 sleds cutting blow downs and branches. With our blade we were able to fill in some water bars and rough areas. The condition of the trail is early season. Truck roads are pretty decent but in the woods you will find varying snow depths water bars and water holes. We definitely need more snow. If you are out and about please ride with caution
